Philanthropy Coaching
My philanthropic coaching is for people who want their giving to have the fullest possible impact on the things they care about. I’ve been on both the giving and receiving end of philanthropy and know the many obstacles that can arise.
Obstacles such as:
Feeling overwhelmed by the many demands on your time
Being dominated by “shoulds”
Guilt about asserting your needs (in my privileged position I feel selfish asking for what I want)
Difficulty saying no
Confusion about identity (if I don’t need to earn an income, who am I and what is my real work)
Feeling an ongoing sense of responsibility
Being mindful of these obstacles, I will help you:
Simplify and focus your life on what’s important to you
Learn to give to yourself as well as others
Deal with the impact of your resources on your relationships
Manage the dynamics of inherited wealth or newly acquired wealth
Develop an identity apart from, but congruent with, your assets
Align your giving with your values
Working collaboratively, we will explore ways to make your life an integrated whole. The more integrated your personal life, work, and relationships are, the greater impact you will have in the world.
